The Ignite Youth Project started in 2008 with a small group of volunteers heading out onto the streets every Saturday evening to get to know local young people, offer support and to listen. Within weeks we knew we were here to stay. We employed a part-time youth worker and promptly opened a weekly evening drop-in - a safe place for young people to gather, which soon moved to a Friday evening. We now have two part-time youth workers and a committed crew of experienced volunteers offering a range of positive activities, opportunities and support all in response to the relationships we have built with local young people. We love this community; we love the young people and its an enormous privilege to get to do what we do

Ignite Youth Volunteering Opportunities

*These opportunities are open to all as well as included in the “Yr 12 Volunteer Programme” that Ignite co-delivers with Attleborough Academy Sixth Form.

** This opportunity is currently only open to students accessing the Yr 12 Volunteer Programme at Attleborough Sixth Form

NB: We also offer youth volunteering opportunities in the Ignite Youth Drama and Girls Lounge Teams too.
